Harry Anderson Quick III

Harry Anderson Quick III, 76, of Waynesboro died Monday morning, September 29, 2008, at his residence.

He was born September 13, 1932, in Charlottesville, son of the late Harry A. Quick Jr. and Helen Keith Quick.

Mr. Quick was retired from the DuPont Company and was the owner of H and R Block Tax Service. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Quick; his beloved grandson, Christopher Carl Norene who died in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Connor Quick; three children and their spouses, Brenda and Kevin Norene of Waynesboro, Cynthia and Dennis Burnett of Fishersville, Jeremy and Teresa Quick of Greenville; two stepsons, Blair and Sandy Hammond of Cumberland and Wade and Karen Hammond of Mechanicsville; one brother, David and Doris Quick of Fishersville; one sister, Dorothy and Harold Campbell of Nellysford; one grand-daughter, Kristin and Jeffrey Bednarczyk, five step-grand-children, Chase Harris, Kyle Hammond, Nicole, Danielle and Michelle Conway; one great-grandson, Devin Johnson and a number of nieces and nephews.

At his request his body will be cremated.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro;

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Waynesboro, P.O. Box 382, Waynesboro, VA 22980.

So sorry to hear of Harry's death, He was a good friend and employer to me for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was shocked to see of Harry's passing. He was a good neighbor when both of our families lived on Mulberry Street. My prayers and thoughts are with all the family. He is now in Heaven and with Christopher and other family and friends. In Christian Love, Ron Hiserman
