Robert Le Page Obituary

LE PAGE - Robert J., II, 78 died peacefully on Friday, June 20th at his home. He was born in Rockville Centre, New York and moved to Brooklyn as a young boy. He moved with his family to Staten Island in 1988. Robert was a member of the United States Navy from 1950 until 1953 and the United States Army from 1953 until 1956. He joined the New York CIty Fire Department in 1961 as a dispatcher and retired as a supervising dispatcher in 1987. He was a member of the New York City Fire Department's Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Band. Robert loved fishing, tending to his garden, his fighting Irish of Notre Dame Football team and his Irish music. His beloved wife of 46 years, Mary Joyce died in 2003. Robert is survived by his beloved children, Catherine Buono, Robert Le Page III, Nancy Reid and John Le Page along with his son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws and his beloved brother, Joseph Le Page. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Lenny, Craig, Kelly, Danny, Dillon, Jorja and Rebecca. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to University Hospice, 226 Mason Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305. The wake will be held Sunday evening at A. Azzara Funeral Home, 183 Sand Lane Staten Island, NY 10305, with a Burial Mass from Holy Rosary Parish, 120 Jerome Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305 on Tuesday morning at 10:30AM.
