To all of Bernadettes family and friends please accept my sincere condolences and sympathy for losing someone as special as she was. I hope you can find comfort in Gods Word, knowing she is at peace and with Him forever.
Bernadette and I were 'best friends' all through grade school at St Aidans. To this day the memories of the shenanigins we caused with the Nuns and the Brothers make me laugh out loud- it seemed she had a wise crack answer for everything-all innocent stuff but she was so quick with the comebacks sometimes they didnt even know what to say!
Bernadette was without a doubt the #1 class clown and I idolized her. She was never mean spirited to anyone- I just think she loved making people laugh even back then. Although it has been years and years since we have spoken, and I had no idea she was ill - she has been on my heart for weeks just out of the blue. So lately I have been sharing some of my 'Bernadette stories' with my kids and there has been much laughter all around. I then opened Newsday yesterday to read of her passing and I was so shocked and saddened.
Again -my condolences to the Gordon family as she was a one of a kind person and will be sorely missed.
Regards,
Ursula Trainor ( now Izurieta )

A dear friend ~ I shall never forget her jokes, her joy of life and most of all her kindness and thoughtfulness to everyone she knew. My heart is crying, but I know she is finally at peace, and probably cracking them up in heaven!
