My Dearest One...
Today, as President Barack Obama took office, I am reminded of our many "political" times together...attendance at Jimmy Carter's inaugural ball...your own election as a Suffolk County Legislator, your dream fulfilled by holding that office ....and I think:
Look at the day you ....just missed.
I wonder, too, about a day, some time in the future, that I, too, will ...just miss.
You taught me that each of us is responsible for what happens to our country on a larger scale. To do nothing, is a choice, too.
I thank you, my dearest friend, my husband, for all of the gifts you have encouraged by your example and, hopefully, shared with me....courage, responsibility, perseverance, a pervasive sense of humor, respect for all.
I cherish your enduring love for me, for your family and and for our friends.
You showed kindness and caring to all you met, a willingness to listen, offering up your wisdom, telling things as you saw them.
You taught me that all I really need to do when times are most difficult, is get up and show up for whatever life wants from us, each day, a day at a time.
....I will continue, in honor of you and our life together, to get up and do my best, speak my truth, try to avoid passing judgment, and work to not take anything personally.
I miss you. I will love you always.
I know we will meet...
Somewhere in Time.
Your loving wife,
terri

Tony was only in my life for a short time but during that time he fulfilled a lifelong dream. It was a privilage to have known him, to have laughed with him and to have listened to his stories about the "old days". Memories are forever and I will always be grateful to him for that.Tony came in to my life after I met his daughter,Diane, whilst on vacation. For that I will be eternally grateful. He not only left me with great memories he gave me a great friend and an extended family in the US. Thankyou Tony.

Tony was my American father, we met in Ogunquit Maine back in the early 70's - I shared thoughts and experiences with him that I never have with my biological father. When we spoke on the phone we always laughed (even at his corny jokes!!)
Even though he lived in New York and I lived in London, now Australia we kept in contact for over 35 years. I will miss him dearly and as I write this I have a tear in my eye. God bless you Tony and keep them laughing up there until I can join you,
Love to all the family - regards Martin

Dear Bivona Family,
When I turned the page and saw Mr. Bivona's face I smiled. I had the pleasure of having your dad as a speech teacher in George Washington Elementary School, Deer Park back in the 70's. What a sweet man he was. I hadn't thought about him since. To read his bio in the paper made me learn so much about him. As a kid you don't think where the teacher comes from or what kind of family they have. Teachers are "not regular people" to children. So please know your dad/husband was a lovely man and will be remember as such.

Diane, Susan and Michelle,
It has been so many years since we were little girls growing up on Forest Drive. I will always cherish the good times we had. I will always remember the love your father shared with us. My prayers, thoughts and love are always with you.

I shall always remember Tony's wonderful laugh. Tony, Dom Tortorice and I had many memorable years at St John's University."To love and to be loved is to feel the sun from both sides"
