Ellen Flanagan

FLANAGAN - Ellen, "Nellie" (nee Garvey) on September 8, 2008. Born in County Galway, Ireland. Beloved wife of the late Michael. Loving mother of Jim (Kathy), Helen (Keith Durand), Eileen (Mark Lamberti) and Brendan (Lisa). Adored grandmother of Erin, Caitlin and Michael Flanagan, Alana, Griffin and Keara Durand, Conor, Krista, Zachary and Nolan Lamberti, and Courtney, Tyler and Katie Flanagan. Nellie will be missed dearly by her sister (and caregiver) Anne and her husband Tommy McKeon here on Long Island as well as those siblings and their families in England and at "home" in Ireland. She was blessed with many dear friends, in-laws, nieces, nephews and acquaintances all of whom will share in the loss of this gentle woman. She will be forever in our hearts and may God bless her and keep her until we meet again in Heaven. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile West of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Thursday 9:30am at St. Joseph's RC Church, Kings Park, LI. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Babylon, LI. Visiting Tuesday 7-9:30pm and Wednesday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm.
