Mommy-
If I could I would sleep through the holidays...I remember you telling me how you had to make strufoli when Grandma died-how important tradition is. Well Mommy-I will keep the family tradition-but it won't be the same without you by my side. I love you & miss you with all my heart.

A Mother shows every emotion ... happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow...and all the while, hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life.
She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take.
She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you.

Gasper, Barbara, Alice and Jane, I am saddened to hear of Eleanor's passing. I remember her fondly from my youth: her warm gracious smile and joyful spirit. If the road wasn't long, my family and I would be with you now. Having just lost my dad, I know your sorrow. I pray that as your grief ebbs and flows, you will savor the vignettes of Eleanor's life and listen as she continues to comfort & guide you from a place , which seems so distant, yet is so very close to your heart.
