Uros left a large footprint in the hearts of those he touched. A strong and "gentle" man, with class and integrity. He never swayed in his convictions and will be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers Barbara during this very difficult time.

Dearest Barbara,
Although I did not know Uros well, the times I was able to be with him, you and your family, he was always such a gentleman, friendly and most of all so much of a friend, companion and source of strength for you. My deepest sympathy. You are in my heart.
With love, Linda

Uros, I have not seen you in many years, but that is not to say you have not been in my family's and my prayers and hearts these recent weeks. As a child with how you towered above us, I thought of you as the stongest man on the planet, you are family and words cannot express how much you will be missed. I will never forget you and am privileged for having known you Uros.

To Barbara, For Uros

I don't quite know how to say good-bye; I've never been very good at it. I’m so very glad that we were able to spend time together recently. Timing is everything in life - and it appears that there was luck my timing. Uros has been generous in so many ways over the years, a source of strength and composure through our own difficult and sad times. He brought a multitude of laughter and good humor during happier times. I appreciated his friendship, his wisdom, his cooking!, his engaging conversation on politics and the world. I appreciated his perspective on life. Our final conversation will stay with me always ... his caution and guidance as to where and how to best live in Eastern Europe. I think of him everyday, and hope that one day we see him smile again.

With Love, Nancy

Uros,

You’ve been in our family for so long, I can’t remember when you weren’t. You watched my children grow into adults and have children of their own.

You were a man of your convictions, rarely wrong, almost always right; strong in stature, strong in character; honest to the core, and always, always there when we needed you.

My dearest sister, my heart aches for you, it hurts for us all.

Uros we will miss you so.

Hi Barbara,

Andy and I send you our love. We been thinking of Uros all week. He was truly a unique individual who left us all with so many memories. He could be tough, at times frustrating, and often a tease, but also generous, thoughtful, caring, responsible and hard working. He was a worldly fellow, always ready to share his knowledge and experiences. From Uros I learned a whole lot about good food and its preparation, I can picture him as he happily prepared some exotic addition to our Christmas and New Year’s dinners. I will always remember his appreciation of the “finer things”, his innate sense of style. He lived his life on his own terms and in his own way touched all who knew him. He was a classy man who will be missed by those who knew him. I count myself lucky to have been one of them.

Lots of love,

Donna

Uros,
In a life populated with powerful women, you were the powerful man. A better example I could not have wanted. Quiet and strong, loud and caring. Most of all, kind. Uros. You are loved. And you are missed. Always.
Love, Scottie

Uros was shy until he got to know you, then his warmth and that big laugh came shining through. He was a European gentleman at heart. His presence here will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Barbara, I am sorry I can't be with you now, but I am there in spirit.

Love,
Deborah

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun

And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then you shall truly dance
