Henry Gongolewski Obituary

GONGOLEWSKI - Henry L., passed away October 22, 2008. Henry resided in Bethpage, formerly of Hicksville. He is survived by his loving wife Blanche of 60 years. Devoted father of Joanne (Michael) Berman and Laurie (John) Higgins. Cherished and proud grandfather of Alison (Daniel) Oest, Gregory and Jessica Berman, Elisabeth and Ashley Higgins. Great-grand- father of Alexander Oest. Dear brother of Adolph (Catherine) Gongolewski. Brother-in-law of Mary Stempien. Uncle of Grace and Michael Ciampi and Mary Ann (Walter) Smith. Henry was a WWII Veteran and served 33 years as a NCPD police officer. He was a member of VFW and K of C of Hicksville, LI Hicksville Council. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road, (1 Mile North of the Southern State Parkway, Exit 29). Celebration of the Liturgy Christian Burial St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Bethpage, Monday 10:45am. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, LI. Visiting Saturday and Sunday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm.
