We met at Mount Airy Lodge had to be early 90s. We came friends and of course lost track over time. We ran into each other I´d say 1998. It was great reconnecting and of course once again lost track. I did not expect to see your gone when I looked you up. I wasn´t going to write anything as I´m sure it´s obvious no one knows or remembers me. As a father myself the loss of a child is
Incomprehensible. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

Dear Christine,
I think about all the times we had when we were together, and still to this day think about you everyday! I still remember your smile and laugh how kind and loving you were... how we filled the apartment with a few cats and then rabbits. your love for animals and especially wolves will be with me forever! I am so sorry that this life no longer has you in it. I remember the last phone call a few weeks before you passed and I kind of blew you off cause I was busy, man I regret that till this day! but just knowing your in a better place looking down on your wonderful family and friends let's me smile. Miss you Christy and will till we meet again in that better place!

In Loving Memory of Christine:
You are in our thoughts and prayers...and forever in our hearts. Many happy memories, especially as a young teenager - when we first met you and you became a important person in our lives - over the years our families shared many "parallels" and we love and cherish all of them. Your spirit continues to live on through your beautiful daughter Emily who we love dearly.
Always,
Jan & Tom

Daughter; I know you are in a better place. The world in which you once lived was hard, painful and confusing. I could see this pain in your face although you tried to hide it away. You were valiant, heroic striving to keep it all together. Proudly you struggled against the black tide that to our loss it finally consumed you.
Your in a better place now. The stress and tribulations are behind you. Rest darling daughter for you have earned it.
Christine you will always be my little girl. Your daughter always tells us every time we part that she will miss us. Isn't that you speaking through her? Little girl I will miss you.
Say hello to dad.

Christy
We met in highschool by dating eachothers best friend. Though those relationships didn't last ours always did. When life took us in different directions I knew that I could always call you when I needed a friend. I'm comforted by years worth of memories and knowing you're at peace.

Dearest Christine.
It is almost 2 years since you left us but our love for you will never dim. You will always hold a special place in our hearts because you were the first of our grandchildren and
were such a blessing to us. Your smile and laughter brings a smile to my face as I think back through the years that we were fortunate enough to have you with us. I can still hear your sweet voice asking How are you Grandma - I love you. Such precious words!! You were an amazing, beautiful girl as well as being talented. How could so much "great stuff" come in one package??
There is an ache in our hearts and tears fill our eyes when we remember you and that is all the time. We didn't know love could hurt so much. But, we thank you so much for blessing us with your beautiful daughter Emily, our first great grandchild. She has a special place in our hearts, just as you did. She started kindergarten this September and according to your Mom likes it very much in spite of the fact she had already made up her mind she did not want to go. She does have a mind of her own and oh how much we cherish that in her.
You were taken from us much too soon but you will always be with us in spirit. I look forward to the day when we will see you again - just hold that special place open for us.
It is hard to put into words how much you meant to us and how big a hole was left in our hearts when God called you home. I pray that you now know peace and true happiness.
WITH ALL MY LOVE FOREVER.
Grandma (GiGi to your beautiful
daughter)

Dear Christine,
It's been a solid year now and somehow I still can't find the words to explain my feelings of loss and emptiness since you've been gone. You taught me a lot in your short life about unconditional love. I will forever hold you dear in my heart and will continue to visit you often.

I know it took me a year to write my entry in this book, but I know I will be a part of Emilys life forever and I plan to share my childhood memories with her. Christy was a part of my life from the moment I was born. We were raised together and most of my memories are with my sister, Christy and Kerry. I can look at pictures of Christy and still hear her laugh and it makes me smile. I have some really great pictures of us from when we were little girls. (I think the Nunleys pictures are my favorite.) When I think of gymnastics, I still think of Christy. I did not think there was a better gymnast out there!
Everytime I go for a run I think of Christy. She taught me to "Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth!"
I miss you Christy.

Emily, I did not have the good fortune of knowing your mom very well. I knew her only through the pictures and the notes we received every Christmas from her mom, your grandmother. I do know your grandparents very well though. You can be sure your mom was loved unreservedly by her parents throughout her life. You also can feel secure that your grandparents will be there for you whenever you need them just like they always have been.

Christine,
I know that you are at peace now. I am willing to take on the pain that was left behind as long as it means you are happy now. I will never understand why you had to leave us. You were always there for me when I needed someone. And I know that you are still here for me. You were funny, smart, talented and beautiful. Not to mention that you have an amazing daughter. I know that you are watching down on our family. It is really hard for me to express how I feel on here but I know that you know what I feel and the words that I cant seem to write. I miss you terribly and love you always. I can never see a wolf or a dreamcatcher without thinking of you. The things that remind me of you, remind me of your passion and love for those things. I miss coming down to visit and hanging out with you. Even if we didnt do anything i just liked to hang out with you. When you took me out for my birthday, it meant the world to me. When I would stay in your room you would snore so loud! I miss that. I miss you. You truly were a good person with a big heart. Now the talents and love that you had will come through in Emily. I will do everything I can to be there for that little girl. I appreciate everything you ever did for me. You were not just my cousin...you were much more than that. I cherish the times we had together. I miss you and love you always.
Love,

Emily,
FIrst off, I just want to tell you that you are such a special girl. Your mom was also a very special person. She was somebody that I could trust with anything. She was not just a person but a friend as well. Your mom was very smart and beautiful and talented. Having your mom as my cousin was an amazing thing. I looked up to her just as I look up to your Aunt KK and Uncle Al. She was more like a big sister to me. I could tell her anything and if I had a problem, she was there to help. Your mom had a big heart and has so much love for you. I miss her everyday and love her so much. It is very hard for me to put everything that I want to tell you into words and I think that someday you will understand. You are loved sooooo much by everyone. And someday you will realize that you have an amazing family who will do anything for you, myself included. Your mom is watching you grow up to be a funny, smart, beautiful girl and I am sure that she is very proud. You truly are a little princess. I love you and will be here for you just like your mom was for me.
Love,
Sandy

To my beloved Emily,
I had this book composed for you so you could get an idea of how much your mom was loved, and what a beautiful person she was.
Mom was so special in so many ways. She was very intelligent, having graduated from Hofstra University and worked for years as a successful accountant. She was also gifted musically and played the violin in her school orchestra (sitting first chair). She also loved to sing, and sang in the church choir from childhood through her teenage years, often doing solos and even duets with your Aunt Kerry. I have left you some of her art work so you can see what a talented artist she also was, especially with drawing and painting. But those were not your Mom's only talents. She was also an incredible athlete, who excelled in gymnastics, and qualified for the NY State Gymnastics Championship her very first year of competing.
But none of these things brought her the kind of pride and joy that she experienced when her little Emily was born. Be assured, your Mom loved you with all her heart, and wanted nothing more than to watch you grow day by day. But God had other plans for her that I don't think any of us will ever understand, but we need to accept what is in order to live productive, happy lives. You meant the world to Mom, and I know she is watching over you from heaven and wishing she could be here for you.
Don't ever forget your Mom and how much she loved you. I know I never will.
All my love to my 'best girl'

To my beloved Emily,
With the help of those who truly loved your mom, I have compiled this book to give you just a little taste of how much she was loved. These entries are just a sample of the things people have said to me or written to me over the past year.
Your mommy was a VERY special person who loved you with all her heart. She was so very talented.... exceptionally bright, a gifted artist and musician, and an incredible athlete. But most of all, she was a loving, devoted mother who wanted nothing less than the best for the beautiful little girl she loved so much.
I hope you can learn a little about that special woman who was your mom from what you read in this book. But most importantly, you need to know that your mommy would have given anything and everything to have stayed with you and be there for you. You were her life. But God had other plans that we will never understand, but that we need to accept if we want to have any kind of happiness in our lives.
I love you with all my heart and soul, Emily Nicole. You are my 'best girl' and always will be!

Dear Emily,
I too worked with your mom as an accountant in Merrick. I started out as an intern in the office, just like your mom did.
Christy taught me the way things got done in our office. She was intelligent, and a hard worker. I was sad when she left our office. I enjoyed working with her.
Your mom was a wonderful person, and I really enjoyed being her friend. We used to travel to Manhattan together for work sometimes, and we always had fun together.
I agree with Colleen about the two memories of times with your mom, the year we all dressed up for halloween, and Kive didn't know we were going to do it (boy was he surprised!) and being asked to be a bridesmaid for your mom. There were so many other memories - going out to a REALLY long lunch with your mom and Tina one year for Secretary's day - we must have been gone for 3 or 4 hours!; going out to lunch at the Outback in Manhattan while we were visiting a client that day...I could probably go on forever.
You are very special because you are a piece of your mom. Know that your mom is your best friend, and she is always watching over you.
Your Grandma & Grandpa Hollinsworth, Aunt Kerry, Uncle Brian and Uncle Alex love you more than you can imagine!
Your mom will be missed, but know that she is always with you, and that she loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Christy was one of my closest childhood friends and I have many beautiful memories from growing up together. When I think of Christy (back then she was "Chrissy") I think of a creative, smart, happy, energetic and determined little girl who loved unicorns and was always laughing. She was an extremely talented and strong gymnast, and I remember watching her in awe at gymnastics classes - on the bar, beam, mat, and horse- she was amazing at everything. She was creative and full of imagination - the front lawn was a stage where she thought up a play about 4 young girls who were dreaming of making it big in show biz. The basement was a restaurant, a factory, a school, a store, even a printing press. We would spend hours typing on calculators and cash registers, feeding our dolls, signing our autographs, and grading our pretend students' tests. I have happy memories of swimming together, catching fireflies, dressing up, and having picnics.
Emily, I also remember how happy she was when you were first born and she brought you to my moms so we could see you. I hope you know how much you were loved, and how special your mom was. I'm sure your mom is looking over you forever. She will never be forgotten.

For Emily.....
I worked with your mom while she was an accountant at Kive Strickoff's office in Merrick. She was smart and intense, somewhat shy and often times silly! We had lots of laughs together....the kind of laughter that brings tears to your eyes! Two of my fondest memories are the time we all dressed in costumes in the office on Halloween (much to our bosses' surprise and i have the pictures to prove it) and the pleasure of being one of your mom's bridesmaids. She was an animal lover....particularly wolves. We both got puppies within a few months of each other. I had Luca and she had Henry. She talked about having been a gymnast in high school....and apparently she was quite good at it! And, she was very artistic. I still find some of her "artwork" scribbled on old paperwork around the office! You have so many wonderful people watching over you - especially your mom who is surely one of God's Angels. May you always be surrounded by happiness, health and love.

Dear Hollinsworth family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Having two daughters very close to Christy's age, I can't even begin to imagine the pain that you must feel. Christy was just a little girl the last time I saw her...I wish that I could have known her better. Her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in her sweet daughter. Emily will be a precious source of joy to all of you for the rest of your lives. Be comforted in the fact that Christy is now in the loving hands of God and I have no doubt that He will take very good care of her.

To Emily
I am sorry that you won't be able to know your mom how I knew her. Your mom was funny, caring, and an ani,al lover. I used to tease her about loving cats and wolves. She had this crazy wall paper in Grandma H's house. Growing up I always looked up to her. I used to sleep over the house and Aunt Kerry and I would always play had her vanity in her room. Your mom taught me to put on eye liner. I promise I will teach you when you are old enough. Your mom and Jaime were such good friends and I loved hearing about the fun stuff they did. She was very outgoing but yet shy. She always had this sweet voice when she spoke to you and always listened. Your mom knew some of my deepest secrets. The boys loved your mom and Aunt Kerry. I am sure you will have a following of boys when you get older. Your mom was great in school. She also used to do my taxes. If you have any questions you can always ask. Jill, Kerry and I have been best friends for ever. When you are older I would love to just have a girls night like we used to with your mom. I miss Christy very much and I loved her very much. I promise to love you as much if not more then I did your mom. You have a lot of people looking out for you. Your mom is looking down on you and will always be with you.
Love

Barbara, Doug, Kerry, Brian and Alex,
I will always cherish the memories I have of Christy, we had so much fun growing up together. She was such an intelligent, caring, generous and beautiful soul and I know those are the memories we will all always hold dear. It had been a long time since I had seen Christy and my heart breaks for her suffering, I know that she has finally found her peace and maybe through that knowledge we may all find ours.
Christy's infectious smile and giggle will live on through her daughter and be a blessing to you all every day.
I will always love Christy and think of my cousin every day.
Peace and Blessings,

Dear Barbara & Doug & Family,
I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. We all loved Christine very much. I will miss her voice saying "Hi Aunt Kel", its clearly in my mind.
One year when the girls came to visit we went hiking at Lake Minawaska, Christine took the lead in guiding us through the woods & over the rocks and we all had a big adventure!
Christine & Kerry were the prettiest flower girls I have ever seen. I'm so happy that they were in our wedding. They looked so special in the blue dresses with flowers in their hair.
Christine always had such a big heart. After the death of our son, Christine decided to participate in a marathon to raise money for the national heart association. She spent her time and energy to reach out and make a difference in peoples lives. Christine did this often!
Her cousins all loved to spend time with her -she is the oldest. Everyone looked up to her, especially the girls. Christine took the time to talk with them and treat everyone with love and kindness. She had a special way to make you feel loved.
I remember the cousins walking to the libraium at Grandma C. & Pop Pops. I never had a doubt that the kids would be in good hands with Christine.
She was so happy when she would care for the pony Pop Pop bought for her! Her smile was beautiful and contagious!
Watching Christine practice her gymnastics was always a treat, she was so graceful and determined. When she went to Albany to compete, she participated even with a fever. Her tenacity never ceased to amaze me.
I loved to watch Christine with her beautiful daughter, Emily, she sure did love that baby.
I am a better person having known and loved Christine Hollinsworth.
I look forward to the time when God promises to wipe out all the tears, pain and suffering from peoples lives. (Rev 21:3,4)
I will hold many happy memories of Christine close to my heart, always.
Love,
Aunt Kelly
