Michael and I went through school together in Deer Park and he was the same sweet, smiling nice guy years later when my husband and I met him at my cousin's wedding. We are deeply saddened by Mike's passing. We will keep the Ryan Family in our prayers. The NYPD has lost another HERO.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My husband passed away 2 1/2 years ago of stage 4 colon cancer. He was a NYPD officer who worked at ground zero for many, many hours. My son and I miss him dearly and feel for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Ryan Family,
My sincere condolences go out to you for the loss of your husband and father. From what I hear from neighbors his battle, like my late husband PO Robert Helmke, who lost his battle from cancer 3 months ago, was a brave one and he was blessed to have you all. I will pray for you as you grieve for him, remember his strength and honor his memory as he lays at rest in the comfort of Gods hands.

To The Ryan Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband, Peter, worked with Michael in Warrants and often spoke of what a great guy he was. He was a good friend and boss to Peter. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers and if there is anything you need please do not hesitate to ask. Sincerely, Hollie & Peter Garrido

To The Ryan Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. As neighbors of Jim and Anne, Michael's parents, we knew directly from them what an amazing son, brother, husband, father and uncle Michael was. And, how Michael made the ultimate sacrifice as a member of the NYPD and 911 responder. What a true hero Michael is to his family, friends and Country. May God bless the Ryan Family and help them find comfort in Michael's memory and the knowledge that Michael is now with God and at peace evermore.

Lisa and David Kaufman.
