Brenda Wolpert Obituary

WOLPERT - Brenda Jean, 78 of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Brightwaters, L.I., N.Y., died on November 7, 2007 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL, following a brief illness. She was born on January 4, 1929 in Bay Shore, N.Y., raised there by her parents Nellie and Charles Rohlfs, and graduated from Bay Shore High School in 1946. She married high school sweetheart Russell J. Wolpert on December 6, 1947. She worked at First National Bank of East Islip, N.Y. before raising her family, and later at H&R Block. She had been a resident of Daytona Beach, FL since 1998, but always maintained strong ties with her high school friends over the years. Survived by beloved husband Russell; sons Russell Jr (Susan), Thomas (Michele), and Mark; daughters Donna (Kevin) Skinner and Darlene (Jon) Darch; sisters Carol (Lynn) Mosher and Joy Hendrickson; brother Charles (Denise) Rohlfs; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Colony Community Church, Daytona Beach, and enjoyed family, bingo, dominos, and dining with family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Memorial Sevice Sunday November 18, 2007, 11:30am at Colony Community Church (south clubhouse), 1275 Beville Rd., Daytona Beach, FL. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Bay Shore High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 464, Bay Shore, N.Y. 11706.

Russ - So sorry to hear of Brenda's passing. I remember the laughs we used to have together on Saturday mornings when she came into Brightwaters Store to do her weekly shopping. May you find comfort in knowing that we too will miss her.
