Dear Rita and family,
I'm so sorry about the loss of Charlie.
I too have such wonderful memories of our days on Heathcliff Drive. You were such wonderful neighbors and friends. My favorite memory of Charlie was, many years ago when I first brought my future husband ( Tom )to meet my family. It was also the day of my sister Cathy's wedding . We were all downstairs in our basement, and I'm not sure how the topic came up, but I looked over to see what Charlie and Tom were talking about, and Charlie was teaching Tom the Cha-Cha!! It was the best!
My deepest condolances. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Patty (Ryan)

Rita and Family,

I was so saddened to hear the news about Charlie, but so glad Rita you encouraged me to go over, knock on the door and say hello. I have so many great memories, especially playing football or Association in the street back when I was a kid. Charlie will always be in my prayers as will the entire family.

Dear Rita and Family,

I am so glad that Jack, Cathy, and I got to see you and Charlie this past summer. I have wonderful memories of you and your family while I was growing up on LI - what stands out is the time Patty was convinced something was wrong with my parents because she tried calling them and me and we were all at a party in Valley Stream. Charlie broke the door down when no one answered and of course, found no one in there - but at least Pat was relieved! My condolences and prayers for peace go to all the Mahlmeisters. May each day be softened by warm memories. Love, Lorraine Ryan

Charlie was a good friend of my late husband, Bob. They were part of a group who went to the gym together, and I met Charlie and Rita when we all used to get together. My deepest sympathy to Rita and the family.
