PEORIA - Margaret Mary Sellers, 80, of Peoria passed away at 9:06 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 20, 1927, in Peoria to Robert G. and Mary Margaret Moran Backes. She married William D. Sellers on Nov. 11, 1950, in Peoria. He survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Linda J. Sellers of Seattle, Wash., and Barbara L. (Steven) Roberts of West Peoria; two sons, William D. Jr. (Jane) Sellers of Peoria and Robert G. (Denise) Sellers of Williamsfield, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Soren Rundgren, Malachi Rundgren, Robin Sellers, Darin Sellers, Jessica Battye, Chelsea Battye, Emily Sellers, Lindsay Roberts and Stevie Roberts; two great-granddaughters, Lillian Battye and Victoria Brown; and one brother, Roger G. Backes (Sally Hestad) of Fitchburg, Wis.
She was preceded in death by one son, James Robert Sellers, in 1998; one grandson; two brothers; and five sisters.
She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, St. Patrick's Society, Manual High School Alumni Association and her beloved bunco and pinochle clubs.
Margaret loved her family and encouraged everybody in what they did.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Church, with the Rev. Charles Klamut officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Additional visitation will be 30 minutes before the Mass at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private burial of ashes will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to OSF Hospice or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.

She was a great lady. I enjoyed the times I spent at her home with friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. May the happy memories get you through this time of grief.
