Olympia Rinaldi Obituary

LAKE GEORGE Olympia Rinaldi, of Holly Drive, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Eden Park Health Care Center, Glens Falls, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Assunta (Visconti) Christiana. She married Dominic Louis Rinaldi on Sept. 7, 1947, at the Holy Family Church, Bronx, N.Y. They relocated to East Meadow, Long Island, in 1950, and permanently to Lake George Village in 1980. Mrs. Rinaldi was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church of Lake George. She was a member of the Queensbury Senior Citizens, Lake George Senior Citizens and The German-American Club. Mrs. Rinaldi enjoyed dancing, playing the piano, theatres, cruise travel and cooking. She most especially enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Rinaldi was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her husband, Dominic Louis Rinaldi of Lake George; one son, Alexander Rinaldi and his wife, Rita of Delmar; two granddaughters, Juliana and Alejandra Rinaldi of Delmar; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, N.Y. with the Rev. Paul C. Cox, officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Nov. 20, at Stafford Funeral Home, Inc., 90 Montcalm St., Lake George. A bereavement luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday following the burial at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Center, 50 Mohican St., Lake George. For those who wish, memorial contributions in Mrs. Rinaldi's name may be made to the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 50 Mohican St., Lake George, NY 12845.
