Lillie Wallace Obituary

Mrs. Lillie Mae Wallace, of Dinwiddie, Va., was called home on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, after having a long illness.

She was born May 7, 1948, to Mr. Joseph and Emily Tucker.

She is survived by her husband, George S. Wallace of Chesterfield, Va.; five children, Walter Garris (Daisy) of Chester, Va., Chris Garris (Traccee) and Kasey Wallace, both of Petersburg, Va., George Garris (Anderita) and Pamela Wallace, both of Dinwiddie, Va.; nine loving grandchildren; four brothers, Joseph Tucker of Richmond, Va., Roger Tucker (Nancy) of Amelia, Va., Frankie Tucker (Virgie) and Ralph Tucker (Christine), all of Petersburg, Va.; one aunt, Leeona Roberts of Sutherland, Va.; one uncle, Waverly Tucker of Dinwiddie, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, four devoted friends, Joann Williams, Gloria Glenn, Lucillie Mason and Charlene Edmonds.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at the chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.; the Rev. Henry Goode and the Rev. Karen Godette officiating. Interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.

Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral establishment the day of the services.

The family will assemble at noon the day of the services and receive friends at 216 E. Wythe St., Petersburg, Va., and may be contacted by calling (804) 481-1152.
