To the Family: Aunt Bessie will surely be missed. I remembered when I was married to Sput, she would always give me words of wisdom in rearing my three children. She was also my Grandma Ella's best friend. When I was a little girl, my daddy Clyde Walker would always take us for a walk on Sunday and sometimes we ended up at Aunt Bessie's house. May God bless you all in this time of sorrow.

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Paula and family,
May God richly bless you during this time. Mrs. Turner was so sweet and kind and the memories she and I shared will always remain close in my heart. She was truly a child of God and is now resting with him. Love you all and wish I could be there with you. However, my sincere prayers are with you all. Love Kay P. Jones
