I was very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. When I was DC in the Ghent Field Office, I counted on Dick's guidance and support, both as a technician and a friend. He was a real gentleman and a kind person. The world needs more people like him. I will miss him. My prayers and sympathy to his family

My condolences to Dick's family at this very sad time. For 8 years I had the pleasure of working with Dick in the Middletown NRCS Area Office. Each day with a long commute to Middletown or other County Offices, Dick would contribute his strong work ethic, skill, and very wry sense of humor to our conservation efforts. I was truly fortunate to have worked with him. By the way, it is very likely Dick holds the World's Record for making the largest number of high quality bluebird boxes on the planet. He will truly be missed.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Dick . I worked with Dick at the Ferndale SCS office in the late 70's. I was the District Conservationist there for 2 years. I really liked Dick and liked working with him. He was definitely a "get the conservation on the ground " guy. He certainly leaves an admirable legacy of conservation application in the Catskills area. His family should certainly be proud of his conservation accomplishments.
