Sarah Decker Obituary
Sarah Lowers Vance Decker, 68, of Middletown died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Park Manor Rehabilitation & Healthcare Ctr., Middletown, NY.
Sarah was born in Warwick, NY on September 8, 1939, the daughter of the late David Lowers and Pearl Ethel York Vance.
She was a floor worker at Classic Case and for Classy Leather Goods, Middletown.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Edward Decker, Sr. of Middletown; sons, Robert Edward Decker, Jr. of Middletown, Stanley Allen husband of Brenda Doolittle of Bloomingburg and George Allen husband of Tina of North Carolina; daughters, Joyce Theresa Smith of Middletown and June Denise wife of Thomas Hawkins of Port Jervis; sisters, Shirley Mae Vance Comfort Gillen of Fair Oaks and Clara D. Vance wife of Edwin Pantley of Tampa, FL; brother, John Vance husband of Nancy of Montgomery; grandchildren, Jamie Marie & Shelia Hendrickson, Tara & Larry Pierce, Jessica & Amanda Hawkins, David Doolittle, Skyann Decker, Stanley Decker Jr., Nicholas & Christopher Decker.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua Decker; niece, Angela Gillen Wilson; sister, Emma Ruth Vance Miller, and brothers, David & Joseph Vance.
A Memorial Service at will be held at Mountainview Methodist Church, Bloomingburg, NY, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, with Pastor Robert Hewitt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mountainview United Methodist Church, Bloomingburg, NY.
Arrangements are under the guidance of Morse Funeral Home, Inc., Middletown, NY.
