William Dougherty Obituary

Bloomingburg, NY

William J. Dougherty of Bloomingburg, a retired Pressman at the New York Times for Local Union 2, died Monday, July 28, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, in Middletown. He was 71.

The son of the late William M. and Myrtle (Johnson) Dougherty, he was born on August 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dougherty; and his children, William C. Dougherty, Eileen Delaney, and Charles Dougherty; his son-in-law, James Dougherty; and his daughter-in-law, Michelle Dougherty. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Katelynn Dougherty, James Delaney, and Scott Delaney.

Visitation hours will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at DeWitt Funeral Home, 64 Center St., in Pine Bush, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at the Church of the Infant Saviour in Pine Bush, NY. Burial will be at the Orange County Veteran Cemetery, in Goshen, NY.
