Mabel Millis Obituary

Briscoe, NY

Mabel Rose Millis, a homemaker and lifetime resident of Briscoe, NY, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. She was 88.

The daughter of John and Carrie Wehner Boxberger, she was born September 25, 1919 in Youngsville, NY. Mabel was the wife of the late Ivan Millis. She was a member of the United Reformed Church of Youngsville, and various Geology Clubs in the Binghamton area.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Millis and his wife, Linda of Youngsville, NY and David Millis of Friendsville, PA; two grandsons, Richard Millis and his wife, Liz of Kinnelon, NJ and Robert Millis and his wife, Tina of Livingston Manor, NY; two step grandchildren, William DePuy and his wife, Kathy of Harris, NY, and Vicky Reed of Swan Lake, NY; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY.

Funeral Services will be Monday, August 11, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial of Mabel's cremains will be in the family plot at Greenhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jeffersonville First Aid Squad or the United Reformed Church of Youngsville.
