Elaine DiRaffaele Obituary

Greenville Twp., NY

Mrs. Elaine M. DiRaffaele of Greenville Twp., NY, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008, at her home with her family by her side. She was 61.

She was born May 1, 1947 in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth "Betty" Muller. She was married to Alan DiRaffaele for 33 years.

She previously was employed at Soons Orchard in New Hampton and in Kohl's Department Store in Middletown.

A family statement reads: "She was a devoted wife, mother, and gramma who loved to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Bradyn, and was also looking forward to the birth of her grandson."

She is survived by her loving husband, Alan DiRaffaele, at home; one son, Mark DiRaffaele of Greenville; two daughters, Alyssa DiRaffaele of Greenville and Krista Ayers and her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Bradyn of LaFayette, NJ; two sisters, Andrea Bianco of Queens, NY and Carol Cannizzaro and her husband, Vinny of Queens, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, today, Sunday, August 24, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, with a 9 a.m. prayer at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross R.C. Church with the Rev. Robert Porpora officiating. Burial will be at Manning Cemetery, Greenville Twp., NY.

dear diraffaele family of elaine
i am sorry to here about elaine s death she was a pleassure to work with. she was a very nice person to know an was a great friend. i loved working with her at soons orchard. she was always there when need help with work. she will be sorely missed. an my prayers are with you.
