Avraham Stone Obituary

Formerly of Newburgh, NY

Avraham Stone "Billy Hinson", 43, of New York City, NY, unexpectedly died on Saturday, August 16, 2008.

Avraham was born December 1, 1964 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY to Lorraine Hinson-Handley and William W. Hinson. Avi grew up in Newburgh, NY and graduated from Valley Central High School in 1982 and continued his education and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in N.Y.C. in 1985.

Avi had a distinguished and enjoyable career with Wise Construction in New York City where he was an Office Manager. He also worked for the American Jewish Museum in N.Y.C. Avraham cherished many long lasting friendship along with his domestic partner, Anthony Varrecchia. They married in Montreal, Canada on July 5, 2008.

Avraham is survived by his sister, Cheryl L. Musonte of Newburgh; brother, David Hinson, Massachusetts, Herb and Marie Mason; uncle and aunt of New Windsor, NY, and cousins, nieces, and nephews. Avraham was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Hinson-Handley; father, William W. Hinson; grandmother, Barbara Bardsley; brother, Robert W. Hinson, and sister, Debra F. Hinson.

Avraham's family gives special thanks to Melissa, Diane, and Anthony's Family for the Extraordinary love given to Avrahm.

Private funeral services were held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76th St., New York City, NY on August 20, 2008.
