Edna Aluise Obituary

Newburgh, NY

Edna A. Aluise, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, after a short illness. She was 81 years old.

Born January 7, 1927 in Newburgh, NY, where she grew up and lived all of her life. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1945.

A pious and gentle soul, she was the administrator for Sacred Heart Church for 43 years, and will long be remembered by many parishioners for her role in supporting the church that she loved so dearly.

Surviving are her brother, Ralph A. Aluise of Kensington, MD, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters, Marie and Viola, and also by her brother, Carmen.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, October 10, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Coloni FH, 3001 Rt. 9W, New Windsor, NY

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, with Bishop Dominick J. Lagonegro officiating. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 25 S. Robinson Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550.
