Tsang Cheng Obituary

Monticello, NY

Tsang Shiu Cheng, 76, a lifelong area resident of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2009, at C.R.M.C. in Harris.

She was born July 17, 1932 in Macau, China, the daughter of the late Tsang Man Kai. Her death was predeceased by her late husband, Tin On Cheng.

She has been a member of St. Peter's Church of Monticello since 1966. She came to this country in 1966, adopted Monticello as her new home and was loved by all her friends and family.

Survivors include her brother, Tsang Man Kai of Hong Kong; her sister & brother-in-law, Helen & Po Kui Cheung; sons: Anthony & Connie Cheng of Livingston Manor, Vincent & Kristen Cheng of Alaska, and Warren Cheng of Monticello; daughters, Jennie Cheng of Maryland and Rose & Fred Cheng-Kehrly of Bullville, and six grandchildren: James Cheng, Henry Cheng, Gabriel Cheng, Samuel Cheng, Danielle Kehrly and Halie Shu Cheng. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their children.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 13, at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, Broadway & Liberty St., Monticello. Fr. John Tran will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.

Our heartfelt appreciation of excellent care and unending concern are expressed to her doctors, both in the past and present. We want to especially thank Dr. Goyzueta, Dr. Rohmer, Ceil and all the nurses, staff, CNA's, therapists and everyone who took care of our mom at C.R.M.C., O.R.M.C., Albany Medical Center and The Catskill Dialysis & Renal Ctr.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Catskill Dialysis Center, Forestburgh Rd., Monticello, NY 12701.
