Clifford Allen Obituary

Matamoras, PA - Mr. Clifford Allen of Matamoras, Pa., retired from A & W Products and lifetime resident of the area, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 78. He was born September 10, 1929 in Port Jervis, N.Y., the son of the late Harold E. and the late Jennie Weigel Allen, Sr. A former 18-year employee at Weiss' Laurel Grove Greenhouse, he was a 1948 graduate of Matamoras High School, and was a member of Local No. 445. He is survived by his wife, Joyce P. Hazen Todd Allen, at home; daughter, Colleen Allen of Matamoras, Pa.; two stepsons, Jeffrey Todd and his wife, Terri of Matamoras, Pa., and Larry Todd and his wife, Erma of Sparrowbush; stepdaughter, Julie Anne Soberg and her husband, John of Matamoras, Pa.; brother, Robert Allen and his wife, Marie of Columbia, Mo.; sister, Eleanor Dilger of Bethlehem, Pa.; sister-in-law, Julia Allen of Matamoras, Pa.; two step-grandchidren, Jessica Seda and Joshua Soberg, both of Matamoras, Pa., and also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Leroy Allen and Harold E. Allen, Jr. Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771; 845-856-5191, today, Monday, November 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glenn Scheyhing officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Pike County Unit, 204 E. Harford St., Milford, PA 18337. Funeral arrangements are by the Gray-Parker Funeral Home.
