Lugoff, S.C. - Carmine Pollina, formerly of Montgomery, a former diesel mechanic for Yellow Freight, Maybrook, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla. He was 64. The son of Carmelo and Elena Esposito Pollina, he was born Nov. 13, 1944 in New York City. Survivors include his wife Carol Grassi Pollina of Lugoff, S.C.; father, Carmelo Pollina of Maybrook; two sons, Dr. Dean Pollina and his wife Lianchoo Tan of Columbia, S.C., Dr. Christopher Pollina and his wife Andrea of Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers, Vincent Pollina of Highland Falls and James Pollina of Bloomingburg; one sister, Ellen Pollina of Monroe; five grandchildren, Dana, Patrick, Ethan, Madeleine and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 16 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden. Memorial services will be held on Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be held in Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., Suite 330, White Plains, NY 10605. Arrangements were by the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home Inc. 845-778-3811

Uncle Carmine - I love you. You were a very strong person, but always calm, smart, and kind. I will never forget the times we shared, especially in Cape May. Both as my uncle and as my friend, you will always be remembered.

Aunt Carol and family - I love you too. You did Uncle Carmine proud during this tough time, with your courage and strength.
You were so in tune with his needs, and it showed.
