Emerson Coleman Obituary

Plymouth Emerson Coleman, of Plymouth, died June 22, 2008, at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, at the age of 94. He was the husband of the late Audrey (Poore) Coleman; father of Doris Soliwoda of Carver and Emerson Coleman of Plymouth; grandfather of Hillary, Jacqueline, Emerson, Andrew and Rebecca. Emerson was a Plymouth resident for 63 years. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army in which he received the Purple Heart. He worked as a bricklayer and was a Gold Card holder with the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union Local 3. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and gardening. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the Church of the Pilgrimage, 12 Town Square, Plymouth, at 5 p.m. All other services will be private. Donations can be made to the Carver Athletic Office, c/o Friends of the Fraccalossis, 60 South Meadow Road, Carver, 02330 (to provide financial support to Make A Wish Foundation in helping Mikes daughter Ashley). Mr. Coleman,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
