Mr. Mariani,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the with the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WW II fighting the Japanese and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. Mr. Mariano would have been very proud to know he has a wonderful obituary in the Patriot Ledger. Although I did not know this very interesting, ambitious and inventive man, I did recall knowing some of his relatives, from when I was much younger. Yes, such a wonderful life story to attest to a man who probably knew everyone in Quincy and had such a wonderful family that he was so proud of. Such a great man's passing, I couldn't withold my thoughts: God Please remember to take the hand of Mr. Luigi Mariano as you cross the Great Divide.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of our cousin, Luigi. It was a joy to see Luigi this past October when my brother William "Chuck" and I visited Quincy for the Torre Dei Passeri anniversary. I will always remain grateful for all the information that he provided about the Torre Dei Passeri Society for our family book. Peace be with you, my cousin, you deserve it.
