Mr. Banco,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II as a crewman on the the B-29 "Superfortress." And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The men who flew the B-29 were some of the unsung heroes of the War-they flew in a plane that had been rushed into service without proper testing and usually flew round trip bombing missions of 2,000 miles or more mostly over the Pacific Ocean to Japan and had to contend with the Jet Stream which pummeled their planes with powerful winds and then had to deal with enemy anti-aircraft and suicidal fighter plane attacks and if shot down-risk execution on the spot from the Japanese. And if surviving all that, if their plane was damaged, they had to risk ditching in the Pacific Ocean on their return to base. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Mrs Banco and Family, I remember your husband from the shoe store on Cottage Ave. He was so kind to my family, I remember once I needed shoes for my son with Club Feet, and I didn't have all the money to pay for them, your kind husband let me have the shoes and pay him weekly till they were paid off. He was a kind man, and I will never forget him for what he did for us. My prayers are with you and your family.
