Mr. Shea,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Boston when you served with the BFD. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines back then during the War that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I never met your dad Dorothea, but I felt I knew him through you. Wish I could've tipped a glass or two to and with him. He led a long and meaningful life with service to country and community and of course to his family, not much more could be asked! It's hard now, but focus on the joys and triumphs of a life well lived and keep his legacy flourishing.

Jim will rest in peace.
