Lyman Wheaton Obituary

WHEATON, Lyman C.
Age 79, of Cotton Hanlon Road, Montour Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2008. Mr. Wheaton is survived by his loving children, Allan and Lucy Wheaton, Lakeland, FL, Marie (Jose') Godoy of Alabama, Lois and Daniel Standish of Burdett, NY, Virginia (Willie) Lovejoy of Dundee, NY, LaMont and Michelle) Wheaton, Dundee, NY, Lucinda Wheaton of Montour Falls, NY and Laurie (Steve) Crout of Cayuta, NY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Rappleye of Watkins Glen, NY; and sister-in-law, Clara Wheaton of Montour Falls, NY; nephew, John Raplee, along with several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Wheaton is predeceased by his wife of many years, Helen Wheaton, on January 18, 2007 and grandchildren, Allen Wheaton II, Lareesa McFall, Kevin McFall and Kristopher Jelliff. His family and friends will miss their father and good friend. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY, on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, the Rev. Sheila Price officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Montour Cemetery, Montour Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ontario-Yates Hospice, C/O Fingerlakes Visiting Nurse Services, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456-1336.
