In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

My Aunt Kate was a very special lady, to myself and many others. She meant the world to me I have so many great memories of our times together, Memories that will remain with me forever. I have been very blessed to have had her in my life. My Aunt Kate was not a selfish woman, she always thought of others before herself. She didn't complain about anything. Even though at times she was in pain and didn't feel good she still had a smile on her face, a smile that would fill a room instantly. That is one of the best memories I have, her smile and the way she could always make you think of the good instead of the bad. She always brought a smile to my face. I love you Aunt Kate and I know you are in a better place where there is no more aches and pains or burdens to bare. My love I send to you up in heaven. To her children, thank you for sharing her with so many of us and may God be with you through all your sorrow and tears. I love all of you.
