KATHLEEN MARY WETHERSTEIN FISHER

On Friday, August 7, 2009 Kathleen of Brightmore passed away peacefully in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 92. Kathleen, an RN, originally from Farrell, PA, moved with her husband, James John Fisher, to the Washington, DC, area after World War II. They were married for 53 years until his passing in April 1994. Kathleen had a deep commitment to her Catholic faith and family. She volunteered her time and talent in great order at all stages of her life. She is survived by her five sons; James Gordon Fisher of Olney, MD, John Frederick Fisher and wife Kris Colthurst Fisher of Bedford, TX, Peter Bradley Fisher and wife Mary McGregor Fisher of Kensington, MD, Thomas Jeffrey Fisher and wife Marcia Roessler Fisher of Wilmington, NC, and Paul Anthony Fisher of Comanche, TX, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 17th from 5:00 to 8:00pm located at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, and on Tuesday, August 18th at 10:00am at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church located at 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD 20832. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Education-Parish-Service Program at Trinity College, 125 Michigan Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20017.
