I only learned of your father's death on Monday and was so sorry to see the notice. It's so tough to loose a spouse and a parent, regardless of the circumstances. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers.
With much sympathy,
Betty Crowe Leviner

Frank, it was with great sorrow that I was notified of the passing of your father. I know of no words at a time as this that can ease the pain of your loss. I am reminded of the story of Harry Truman, who, shortly after taking the oath of office as President, was asked by a reporter what he thought his own father, a failure at everything he had attempted in life, would say on seeing his son President of the United States. Harry looked at the reporter and said, "Young man, how can you call a man whose son grew up to be President a failure!" Frank, with you as a son, your father was rich indeed. God Bless, take care, and I hope to see you one day out on the Parade Field in Lexington at the "I." Your ol' roomy, Jim
