Clyde Brinkley Estis

Clyde Brinkley Estis, 79, of West Point, VA passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. In his younger years Brinkley was a phenomenal athlete at West Point High School, especially in basketball, who held many records. He was also a JV basketball coach. Brinkley was an avid tennis player later into his 70's. Brinkley retired from the Chesapeake papermill and was an auctioneer for 30 years. He was an exceptional grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all.
Brinkley is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Estis; a son David Estis (Angie); a daughter Chris Flanzenbaum (Mark); grandchildren, Tate Estis (Isabelle), Lauren Flanzenbaum (Mike), Kayla Canipe (Gavin), Adam and Ellie Flanzenbaum; a great-grandson, Brinkley Fisher Estis; and a special cousin, Terry Estis.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m, Wednesday, May 15th at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Point Vol. Fire Dept, PO Box X West Point, Va 23181.
