To the Whitehead & Demery Families: I remember growing up at Ephesus--Rose was one of the "older" girls that I wanted to hang out with at church because my sister got to hang out with the older girls. Rose was so sweet, she would let me. I just heard the news about her passing this week and my heart is heavy. Please know that I will be praying for your family. I miss those good old days. The following texts have much meaning to me for the hope that we have of seeing Rose again.

"For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:16 &17 NKJV

Love,

JOYCE GARRETT

To Kent, Nadine, Rodney, and Parents:
Wishing you the comfort of knowing that friends are sharing in your grief of Rose's passing. She always had a smile as we passed each other in the hall changing classes at George Wythe. We are just glad that she doesn't have to be in pain any more and may we all hope to see her again one day!

I was so sorry to hear of Rose passing as beautiful as a Rose is opened it must close beautifully too.
She was also a rail girl, the rail girls know what that mean.
Rest in Peace.

Rose,

We became friends a long time ago as we went to the same schools, had some of the same teachers, lived in the same neighborhood, and shared some good times and laughter. I am sad to see you leave this world but I am happy to know that you are entering a better place because you are entering the house of the Lord.

You will be missed greatly by all that knew you. My prayers and sympathy goes out to the family and all your love ones that you leave behind. Rose, you will always hold a special place in my heart and I will miss you.

My condolences goes out to the To the Demery, Whitehead and Robinson Family and may God comfort you during these sad times.

Rose,
You were one of the first friendly faces I saw when my family moved on Winber drive. That day I believed we became friends. We shared some good times walking to GW. The fun we had just hanging on the corner talking and playing. I was ready for the big party but your party was held with the Lord, He knew you were tired and needed a rest. I know I will see you again some day.
Rodney, hold on to God’s unchanging hand. You are in my prayers.
Mr&Mrs. Whitehead, Rose will always hold a special place in my heart and will be missed greatly.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
