COHN, Marilyn Mandrel, died August 13, 2008. Marilyn was born January 2, 1943 in Norfolk, Va., the only child of Abe and Sylvia Mandel. Survivors include her parents; her loving husband, Harry L. Cohn; his children, Jeffry S. Cohn and Wendy C. Miller and their families; Katherine G. Cohn; aunts, Irene Blum and Harriet Mandel; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends. Marilyn retired from service to the Commonwealth of Virginia as legislative assistant in the General Assembly, Depart-ment of Agriculture, Virginia Court of Appeals, Executive Assistant to the Secretary of the Commonwealth under Governor Mark Warner and DEPOR. She graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk and from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She was president of Regency Woods Condo Association and treasurer and board member of Hathaway Tower Condo Association. Funeral services will be Friday (today) at 12 noon at Temple Beth Ahabah, with burial in Hebrew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember Marilyn from high school. I especially remember her cheering the Granby Comets on to victory. I am sure that she will be missed.

I met Marilyn right after she moved to Richmond and married my best friend Tommy. I haven't seen her in many years and know she will be greatly misses.
