Terry Johnston Obituary

JOHNSTON, Terry Reed Sr., 70, of Chester, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Chippenham Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Prosser Johnston, and stepmother Selma Johnston. Mr. Johnston was an Ironworker for Suitt Construction for over twenty years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Johnston is survived by his four sons, Terry Johnston Jr. and wife, Julia, Dustin Johnston and wife, Andrea, Scott Johnston and wife, Dia, and Shawn Johnston and wife, Janelle; two sisters, Patsy Henshaw and husband, W.T., and Joyce Yates; one stepsister, Marie Firth; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 146 Hopewell Memorial, 217 E. City Point Rd., Hopewell, Va. 23860.
