Virginia Baughker

BAUGHKER, Virginia, 85, of Norfolk, Va., went to be with the Lord quietly on August 15, 2008, while surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on November 25, 1922 in Richmond, Va., to the late Richard and Vivian Walker. Virginia was an avid crafter and enjoyed making gifts for her friends, and she enjoyed the beauty of flowers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilbert M. Baughker Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Terry L. Baughker and Gilbert M. Baughker Jr., both of Norfolk; sister, Emma Brann of Litchfield, Maine; nephews, Jeffrey Brann of Washington, D.C., and Kenneth Brann of Litchfield, Maine. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery on Granby Street by the Rev. Dave Libengood. The family will receive friends in the Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, 818 Norview Avenue, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Virginia, 5349 E.
