Robert Irving Obituary

IRVING, Robert "Bob" Irving, HT1, U.S. Navy (Ret.), 60, of Dundas, Va., set sail on his heavenly voyage on Saturday, August 16, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lewis Irving; his children, Anthony LeMay (Bonnie), Janell Barrett (Ben), Peter LeMay, Kristina Irving and Gilbert LeMay (Lynsey); and his granddaughters, Aurora Feagan and Nora LeMay. Bob also leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Helen Ducet, Doreen Street (George), Mary Cooper (John); his brother, Raymond Fish (Diana); and sister-in-law, Sue Fish. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Fish. Bob retired from the U.S. Navy as a Hull Maintenance Technician First Class in 1990 and worked locally for the Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control store in Blackstone. He was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008, with the Rev. Carol P. Mann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, Bus. Hwy. 460, 1826 Cox Rd., near Blackstone. Condolences may be sent to www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com.
