William Glenn Hendricks

HENDRICKS, William Glenn, of Richmond, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jud Hendricks; son and daughter-in-law, Judson and Andrea Hendricks; daughter, Dr. Glenna P. Hendricks; grandchildren, Darren and his wife, Erin Hendricks, and Katherine Hendricks; sister, Margery H. Mitchell. Glenn served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was an employee of Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home from May 1950 until December 1989. After his retirement he continued to work for a number of years part-time and always preferred to work at 3rd and Marshall Street. A memorial service will be held at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road, 2 p.m. Thursday, where the family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private interment will be held at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church or the Richmond SPCA. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Hospice of Virginia.
