Gerald Hendricks Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pfotenhauer Family Funeral Home - East-Town on Nov. 17, 2025.
Gerald "Jerry" Hendricks, 73, passed away peacefully at home, on November 14, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on September 24, 1952, to Roland and Arlene Hendricks. Jerry graduated from Southwest High School in 1972.
Jerry married the love of his life, Janal, on September 29, 2001. Together they shared a beautiful life filled with adventure, laughter, and unwavering companionship.
A hardworking and dedicated craftsman, Jerry owned and operated Jerry's Auto Body and Sales for 55 years. He took immense pride in his work and loved every moment spent repairing, restoring, or simply admiring cars-new or old, classic or modern. His passion for automobiles was matched only by the joy he felt sharing that passion with others.
Jerry loved the outdoors and cherished the many hunting and fishing trips he enjoyed with Janal, including their special trips to Colorado and their memorable vacations in Mexico. He enjoyed his summers up north at the camper with family and friends. He had a deep love for dogs, classic cars, cooking for his family, and, on occasion, good-naturedly teasing his sisters, something that brought him (and them) years of fond memories.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Janal Hendricks; daughters Connie (Kevin) Hendricks, Amy Wendricks, and Jennifer (Joe) Wertel; grandchildren Rex, Bradley, Michael, Joey, and Jordy; siblings Jeff Hendricks, Julie (Gary) Lardinois, Jodi (John) Hendricks-Stetter, John (Joan) Hendricks, Jayne (Richard) Schoen, Jay Hendricks, and Jill (Dan) Hendricks; as well as his brothers- and sisters-in-law. He is further survived by dear friends Gloria (his "camp wife"), Chad, Genessa, and Brock; and his cherished puppies, Emmy and Greta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Arlene Hendricks; daughter Teda; grandsons Parker and Shawn; sister-in-law Deb Hendricks; father- and mother-in-law Bill and Janice Zimmerman; brother-in-law Steve Zimmerman; very good friend John Wocelka; and his beloved pup Sadie May.
The family would like to thank the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, all of the doctors and nurses. As well as Aurora Home Hospice.
Jerry will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, his strong work ethic, and the deep love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held for Jerry at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services East, 2379 E. Mason St. Green Bay, Friday, November 21, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm with a small service at 6:00pm. To honor Jerry's love for the outdoors and cars, please feel free to wear camo, hunting, fishing, or classic car attire.
