Fay Hendricks Obituary
Fay. J. Hendricks of Willowick, OH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 91.
Fay was born on November 25th, 1934 in Willoughby, OH to Charles and Anna (Korman) Lang.
In 1957 she met the love of her life, Edward F. Hendricks. They would have been married for 73 years on Oct. 3rd, 2026. After getting married they opened their hearts and home through adoption, welcoming two wonderful children who became the center of their worlds and the greatest joys of their lives.
Fay was a very dedicated and hardworking person. She was a member of the former Willoughby Chapter 202 Order of the Eastern Star, a Christian women's group.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edward F. Hendricks on April 14, 2020. Her parents, Charles and Anna (Korman) Lang, sister Babe (Milt) Heinz and brother Karl Lang.
Survived by her son, Kyle Hendricks of Woodland Park, CO and daughter, Karen (Stephen) Fleming of Aurora, OH. Her three granddaughters, Kailyn and Kelci Fleming and Alexa (James) Musgrave. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.
Fay was a very loving and supportive mother and grandmother. She loved to teach her three granddaughters how to cook for their future families and take care of the house properly. She would do anything for her girls. They will forever hold on to the memories of hanging out at grandma’s house for one of her home cooked meals, shopping trips to the mall, lunch dates and celebrating every big life moment.
Ed and Fay created so many memories over their 66 years together. They particularly enjoyed the adventure of traveling, exploring new places and making lifelong friends.
Fay’s life can best be encapsulated by five “F” words: Family, Friends, Flowers, Food and Fun. In her 91 years here with us she experienced an abundance of each.
Services will be held on Thursday January 29th, 2026 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, OH. The family is inviting friends from 10:00 - 11:30am before the service.
Her final resting place will be in the Mentor Municipal Cemetery following the service on Thursday.
