John Matthew "Paco" Hendricks, 57, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Genesis Hospital. He was born February 21, 1968, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to the late Thomas and Nancy Huling Hendricks. He was a 1986 graduate of Nebraska Christian High School. John served his country and protected our freedom in the United States Navy. He was a Level 1 Firefighter and Critical Care Paramedic, previously working for Dresden Fire Department, Frazeysburg Fire Department, Pro Care EMS, an intern at Air Evac and Medcorp Air Fixed Wing. His love of EMS and racing, led to his ultimate job as the EMS Supervisor for Mid-Ohio Race Track, where he was admired and appreciated for his natural ability and skills as a paramedic.

He was an avid fisherman, who also enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. His culinary abilities and baking interest was phenomenal. He loved his dog and spending time with his wife and sons. John was a talented artist and a very compassionate person. He faithfully followed Raceline Ministries by Mark Merical.

He is survived his wife Bobbie Johns Hendricks, whom he married June 29, 1990; two sons: James (Josi) Hendricks and Bentley Luke Hendricks; a sister Christina Hendricks; brother in law Steven (Lisa) Gove; nieces and nephews: Katie (Michael) LaTour; Thomas Hendricks III, Brian (Paige) Hendricks, Jonathan Gove and Jason Gove; and great nieces and nephews: Caroline LaTour, Ada Hendricks, J.T. Gove, Madison Gove and Mason Gove.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Thomas Hendricks II; brother-in-law David Johns; and his dog Browning.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation care has been entrusted to the Snouffer Crematory. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, has the distinct honor of serving the family.
