Sandra Kay Evans Carroll, 78, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born March 8, 1947, in Zanesville to the late Harold E. "Jim" and Beverly Myer Evans. She was a 1965 graduate of Zanesville High School. She received her bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Rio Grande. She was employed as a social worker for Galia County Corrections Department. Sandra enjoyed making pottery, loved feeding the neighborhood cats and was a former member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children: John Carroll and Christina Carroll Edge; grandchildren: Zane Carroll, Emily Carroll Shank and Capt. Colton (Vanessa) Edge; two great grandchildren: Hailey Emma Edge and Ryan Evan Edge; two brothers: Jim (Pat) Evans and Tom (Chris) Evans; and three sisters: Susie Spicer, Robin Evans and Deb (Jim Clever) Evans.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Zanesville Memorial Park, with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, has the distinct honor of serving the family.

So sorry for the loss of my best friend through our school years.. We had many fun memories and spent lots of overnight slumber parties together growing up. Sending condolences to the family.
