David J. Carroll

David J. Carroll, age 81of Erie, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

He was the son of the late James and Loretta Mehler Carroll.

David graduated from Cathedral Prep in 1962. He dedicated his 30-year career to Eckerd Drug Store, where he served as the Manager. During his tenure, he met the love of his life, Beverly Barnhart, and they were married for over 50 years. While his sons were young, David actively participated in the Boy Scouts. He had a passion for various sports, particularly NASCAR and NHRA. He also cherished nature and enjoyed feeding the animals in his backyard. David was a devoted grandfather and often helped watch his grandchildren after school.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Barnhart Carroll, and a sister, Patricia Scarpino.

He is survived by his two sons, Matthew and Michael Carroll, four grandchildren, Noah Carroll, Kalem Galo-Zuniga, Hannah Thurlow (Izacc), and Ethan Carroll, as well as several nieces and nephews.
