William Quann Obituary

QUANN, William R. Jr., of Richmond, Va., formerly of Cartersville, Va., died on Monday, August 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria Martin Quann; and his three children, William (Pat) Quann, Tracy Ann Cade and Wenndy Page Green. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement to his farm in Cartersville, Bill was a regional manager of Ogden Food Service. As an active member of the Lakeside Lions Club, he served as president. He was a deacon at Muddy Creek Baptist Church, and was a longtime member of the York Hunt Club and a member of the Virginia Automatic Merchandising Association. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Muddy Creek Baptist Church, 3470 Trenholm Rd., Powhatan, Va. 23139. The family wishes to thank Bon Secours Hospice for their care and support. A memorial service will be held at Muddy Creek Baptist Church at a date to be decided later. The Virginia Anatomical Society handled the body.

Gloria and Pat - I am so sorry to hear of Bill's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. It's been almost 4 years since my Bill died and there's no doubt in my mind that the two of them are reliving old memories now. Stay strong.
