David A. Cifers

CIFERS, David A., 63, of Emporia, died Friday, August 29, 2008. He was a son of the late Frank and Pearl Cifers and was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Cifers. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Cifers; two sons, David Wayne Cifers and Roger R. Cifers; one grandson, Eric Wayne Cifers; five sisters, Alice Gordon, Lottie Gordon, Margaret Conner, Margaret Rawlings and Geraldine Kitchen; three brothers, William Cifers, Harvey Cifers and Ray Cifers and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
