Janet C. Smith

SMITH, Janet C., 72, of Salt Lake City, Utah, longtime resident of Richmond, died on August 25, 2008 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Albert N. Smith Jr. Surviving are her son, Albert Gordon Smith, his wife, Emily Maimon Smith; and grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel. She also is survived by her sister, Mary Lee Brownfield of Richmond. Janet was employed for many years by First Union and First Market Banks, and was an active member of the Lions Club. A memorial service will be held in Richmond at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prevent Blindness or your favorite charity.
