BLOOMQUIST, Mary Dugger, 86, of Richmond, passed away September 1, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Donald J. Bloomquist. She is also survived by her son, Johnny Bloomquist; her daughter, Donna B. Sanford; grandson, Ryan C. Sanford; great-granddaughter, Avery Sanford, all of Richmond; brother, Jesse W. Dugger of Brodnax, Va. Mrs. Bloomquist was born in Brodnax, Va. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chandler Dugger. She attended Brunswick County Schools, Peace College at Raleigh, N.C., and Duke University. She was also a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where a funeral service will also be conducted Thursday, September 4, at 11 a.m. Interment private. Memorials to Westhampton United Methodist Church Capital Fund, 6100 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.
